Dr Ed Roufail approached Medifit in May 2012, looking to establish a specialist opthamology practice in the inner eastern Victorian suburb of Armadale.

Having purchased the premises, and aware of some of the challenges involved with the creation of a specialist opthamology practice, Dr Roufail was looking for a solution provider with experience dealing with local councils, particularly in terms of heritage overlays and disabled access requirements. Medifit's experience over many similar projects along with site visits coordinated by Medifit's National Business Development Manager, Kent Desarmia helped assure Dr Roufail that Medifit were the right company for the job.

With a maximum floor area of 162sqm and a wishlist of four consulting rooms, two opthopic suites, a general treatment room, practice managers office, staff room and waiting and reception, the interior of the building was completely remodeled to accommodate the new layout.

Wood grain panels and natural, warm neutral tones have been offset with vibrant teals and blues in the loose furniture to convey a sense of friendly professionalism. Off white walls open the space visually and provide contrast to the wood grain.

The practice is fully compliant with all statutory requirements for disability access.
